Privacy Policy Membership
- Rheumatology Pharmacists UK will maintain a list of its current membership, together with associated details of membership data.
- This activity is regulated and controlled under the Data Protection Act and the General Data Protection Regulation, under which we are classified as a ‘Data Controller’. Accordingly, this document details the type of data that we collect, and how it is used in compliance with current legislation.
- The data about you which we collect is:
Your Name; GphC Registration number; Current employer and job title; Work email address; Social Media details. - In addition, we also collect information in relation to the status of your membership subscription details; details of work you have undertaken on behalf of Rheumatology Pharmacists UK; Attendance records at any RPUK organised event or training session.
- Membership details are collected to ensure that we maintain an accurate list of our current and past membership. This is so that we can manage and maintain your relationship with us, so that current members can continue to access the resources of, and facilities provided by, Rheumatology Pharmacists UK, and that we are able to identify and facilitate collaborative working opportunities. We will also contact you to notify you of educational, professional or commercial opportunities.
- Your personal details will be kept and maintained by the Treasurer of Rheumatology Pharmacists UK.
- Your data will be shared with other people in the following manner:
- Freely with all Committee Members
- Names and contact details are available to current RPUK members to facilitate networking.
- The Name of everyone attending a RPUK organised event will be passed to any commercial organisation which is sponsoring that particular meeting.
- Where an individual member has indicated that they consent to wider sharing of information, we may publish any or all of the data referred to in paragraph 3 on open systems. This promotes you directly to the wider pharmacy sphere, and facilitates the delivery of our key objectives outlined in the Terms of Reference.
- You have a right to request a copy of your personal data, and to have any errors corrected. This may be requested at any time by emailing the Treasurer of Rheumatology Pharmacists UK.
- By joining Rheumatology Pharmacists UK, you consent to us collecting and using your data for the purposes outlined above.
